Located near the top of the Mayacamas Mountains, with a western exposure, this vineyard's potential is just now being tapped. The warmest of our vineyards is home to our Nuns Canyon Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Nuns Canyon Reserve Merlot. Above the fog line, but with the cool evening breezes blowing up the hill, the red volcanic soils and the slopes combine to give us a small crop of very intense dark fruit. It is a typical mountain vineyard, difficult to farm, a small yield per acre, but with superb results. As with all our vineyards, the maturation of the vines will only continue to improve the quality reflected in our wines.
