Chef Marina Medan’s culinary journey began in Sonoma County, where her early passion for baking led to a successful career. Marina’s international exposure in Florence, Italy, enriched her palate, infusing European pastry flavors into her creations while drawing inspiration from her Southern American heritage.

Marina is a highly accomplished Pastry Chef and Dining Room Supervisor with a Summa Cum Laude B.S. in Business Administration, Hospitality Management from the University of San Francisco.

Before joining St. Francis Winery in 2021, Marina served as the Head Baker and Back House Manager at Glyka Sweets, a renowned family-owned Greek bakery in San Rafael. Her mission centers on creating delightful food experiences, believing in the power of food to bring joy. At St. Francis, Marina excels in dual roles as Dining Room Supervisor and Pastry Chef, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and crafting exquisite dessert pairings. Marina’s dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence shine, fostering a strong sense of community within the culinary team. She consistently goes above and beyond to leave guests with cherished memories of their visit.
